    Nice clean central hotel

    rating06 Dec 2024

I like to stop in Valladolid en route to the costas as it’s a beautiful city. I chose this hotel for a night, because the last one I used to stay at ( the Colon Plaza) has gone right down hill and therefore has lost my custom. The reception area is as previous reviews have stated, absolutely gorgeous. The checkin was fairly quick once we had got over the language barriers.I had room 218 a double and I had requested a room looking over the street. ( although I had not thought of all the noise from outside going on beyond 2 am). Certainly nothing the hotel can do about it. Fortunately I had ear plugs , so a good nights sleep was had.The room itself was clean and basic, with a fridge and some water in it, disappointingly, there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, but again I carry my own.I think the room needs some pictures up as it’s a bit bland and soulless, especially after seeing the wonderful reception area. ( just my opinion) the shower was good with lots of hot water. Breakfast times are good 7-11 but can be quite busy and I felt a bit squeezed in, also on the way out I noticed a couple having a cooked breakfast bacon and eggs! No one advised me this was available and there were no menus about.Otherwise, the layout is quite plentiful. The hotel is just round the corner from the square and it’s done up for Christmas, like the hotel. Valladolid certainly knows how to decorate for the time of year . Fabulous! Checkout was fast and professional and I was able to leave my bags securely put away for a few hours whilst I wandered round the city.Yes, In summing up overall, I would recommend and possibly return on my next visit, only this time ask for an inside room. Jose Luis Abellan Velasco, Director General at Hotel Imperial, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for your kind review. We're glad you enjoyed our central location, beatiful reception area, and service. We appreciate your feedback on the room decor and breakfast options-we'll work on making these clearer. For your nest visit, we'd be happy to arrange a quieter interior room. We hope to welcome you back soon.Best regardas,Hotel Imperial

    Very dubious cleaning

    rating31 Mar 2024

When I got to my room, I found some underwear from the previous client on the bathroom floor. When I mentioned the matter at reception, they did not value the matter nor did they pay any special attention to me for what happened.Excellent location and very good surroundings of the hotel in terms of bars and restaurants.Pity the cleaning Jose Luis Abellan Velasco, Director General at Hotel Imperial, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are deeply sorry to hear about the cleanliness issue you encountered in your room. This is certainly not the standard of service we strive to provide, and we apologize for the oversight. It's disappointing to learn that our reception staff did not address your concern appropriately. We take cleanliness and customer service very seriously, and we will be addressing this incident with our housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure such issues are handled with the utmost importance in the future. We're glad to hear that you appreciated our excellent location and the surrounding amenities. However, we regret that the cleaning issue marred your overall experience.Thank you again for your feedback. We hope you might consider staying with us again, giving us the opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience.

    Excellent- you must stay

    rating13 Feb 2024

When visiting Valladolid you should 100% stay in the Imperial. It’s not your standard modern hotel, it has character and some nice period features. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Roberto, he was very friendly and took the time to show us all the best tourist attractions on a map. We had a lovely big room and a great selection at breakfast the next morning. The hotel is very clean, it doesn’t have parking but the car park is literally a two minute walk away from the front door. The hotel is pet friendly. Jose Luis Abellan Velasco, Director General at Hotel Imperial, responded to this review Dear Paul, we work every day to receive reviews like yours. We look forward to receiving you again soon. Thanks.

Great location, lovely 2 night stay and pet friendly!

    rating14 Nov 2023

Lovely elegant hotel with excellent location a few steps from the Plaza Major but in a quiet street. Parking instruction were good and we were met by a lovely lady who explained how to return to the main Square and underground parking; you are able to stop outside the hotel and unload the luggage! The executive twin room was spacious and comfortable and over looked the small street. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was good and clean! Lift to rooms. Breakfast was a little chaotic one day with one staff covering cooked breakfast and the bar, and the cooked eggs could have been a little better!! The hotel is also pet friendly....a lovely 2 night stay! We would stay again.... Jose Luis Abellan Velasco, Director General at Hotel Imperial, responded to this review Thank you so much for your detailed and positive review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated our excellent location near Plaza Mayor, yet in a quiet street. It's great to know that the parking instructions were helpful and that our staff was able to assist you efficiently. We're delighted that you found the executive twin room spacious, comfortable, and clean. Your feedback regarding the breakfast service is valuable, and we will work on improving this aspect to ensure a smoother experience for all our guests. We are glad to hear that you found our hotel pet-friendly and that you had a lovely two-night stay. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
