Very nice Hotel and spa

We stayed here for five nights during August 2026 to see the total eclipse.This is a stunning hotel with fantastic amenities, helpful and capable staff, and a lovely atmosphere.The building was originally a sixteenth-century university. Great hotel, not enthusiastic about the restaurant
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large, the spa is great. And the room has a map with very good information and a bench, beside coffee/tea facilities. Unfortunately, we were very unhappy about the food. I am not a picky eater, I eat almost everything and never send a plate back, but I left all my food untouched and my husband had to sent his back since it was undercooked. Lovely stay!
This hotel is stunning and our room was large and very comfortable. The spa is an added luxury and we could use it free of charge with the type of room we’d booked. The outdoor pool had closed for the winter two days before our visit which we were a little disappointed about and we were not told about this before our visit. Breakfast is excellent.
