This was a nice place in some ways. The building is beautiful and the restaurant is nice. But the level of service is not so good. Breakfast is the same everyday and servers don’t look happy to be there. There are no letters or coffee machines in rooms although tea bags snd and a kettle are set out at reception. Lovely hotel within the altafulla castle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Minutes from the beach ( by car ). Parking on and local, so very easy. You can walk around the grounds and several bars, restaurants. My room had a terrace and the pool area looked very nice, but I opted to go for a swim in the sea. Renovated hotel in an old building in the middle of a chaming medieval village.Got a very good deal with an upgrade to a suite.Very good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.Guarded parking in front. The beautiful old buildings that make up the hotel are in the most picture perfect village of Altafulla and our expectations were v high for our little Spa Break. First Impressions : our suite was basic, lacking in any personality or chic soft furnishing touches. First the good news: We found the service to be very friendly in all departments.The wifi in Room 15 was excellent. The location and external ambiance of the hotel are impressive.
