Very unfriendly hotel with pointless opening hours for the sauna/wellness centre

    rating19 Jan 2026

The reception was disastrous. We arrived at 6 p.m. and were told that we had to go straight to the sauna because we would be kicked out at 7:15 p.m. We booked a room with sauna/wellness included.Nowhere was it mentioned in advance that the sauna/wellness centre closes at 7:30 p.m. and that you have to be out 15 minutes before that. They also informed us at the reception desk that we were only allowed to use it for 75 minutes. This has nothing to do with wellness and relaxation (after a long journey). On top of that, we also had to purchase slippers and a swimming cap. This means that arriving at the end of the afternoon means you cannot use the facilities (because they only open again at 11:00 the next day, by which time we would have long since had to leave). They showed no understanding for our situation and handled it in a very unprofessional manner. That, in itself, is the worst part. I informed the staff (and manager?) at the reception desk that they had managed to earn a negative review within five minutes.

Overnight stay impacted by rude staff member serving us.

    rating26 Jul 2025

Our stay was only for one night and other than the highlighted issue, this hotel was very nice, with a lovely pool and a nice vibe, however our evening as a group was somewhat hindered by the service we experienced when waiting for our food, as well as ordering. Now in fairness to the staff member who was rude to us, there was very few staff working on this particular evening and her mood could’ve been exacerbated by these factors, as well as the fact that there was a language barrier issue, but this was still no excuse for serving a pescatarian a carbonara, which is a dish that contains pork, when she ordered a dish that only contained salmon as the protein. As this issue hadn’t been resolved a member of our group had to protest that this was not the correct dish and he was met with rude and arrogant comments from the staff member behind the bar and this escalated and led to the staff member calling the member of our group “a liar” despite the fact that we had pointed to the correct dish on the menu and made it clear that the member who had ordered the dish was a pescatarian, this clearly didn’t get through. In fairness, this was resolved and we received the correct dish in the end, but it was still not a very pleasant experience, given the fact that a member of our group was shouted at just for saying it was the wrong dish, and this did put a damper on the evening. However, we were also served by another member of staff who was much nicer and the evening was still enjoyable, just be careful when ordering from this restaurant in the hotel.

Very uncomfortable beds terrible leaking shower avoid

    rating01 Mar 2025

I will start with the positives we stopped at this hotel on our way back through France to England and we met up with some friends in Salamanca. The restaurant in the evening is actually in the foyer which is slightly disconcerting but it’s very spacious and I must say, the food was very good and the service on the whole was excellent Now the negatives it’s a very different story in the bedrooms we were in room 134. The shower was leaking everywhere and literally was a swimming pool as we got out of the shower. The beds were low and incredibly hard. Only one pillow per person the room temperature was absolutely freezing. We put the Aircon on and turned it up - it did not work !!And there was only one blanket each. I can’t begin to tell you how uncomfortable that bed was. it’s as if we had the children’s mattresses it was two single beds. I have never had such a bad experience sleeping on such a hard uncomfortable and what felt like a very outdated old mattress where you could feel the springs through it all in all _ it was dreadful. I will never go back - in fairness to the receptionist. I did tell her and she took £20 off the bill.

    Very average!

    rating16 Oct 2024

Stayed at this hotel for a group booking , but they didn’t really seem to want a group there. The hotel advertise a fast internet / WiFi - it was actually very intermittent and poor and I ended up having to use my own data at a cost, very strange for a hotel in Europe, and certainly not what they advertised. The bar closed very early and despite there being a large group , they made no allowances, so we came back from an evening and no bar. Strange at a busy hotel in August. The staff behind the bar were rude and not helpful at all. The breakfast was nice and the food when bought separately was very nice and of a high standard. The food that was inclusive with our group was basic snd adequate, but catering for other dietary requirements seemed to be a problem. I don’t think I saw a single staff member smile the entire time we were there. The pool is nice but cold and the hotel DO NOT provide free towels , so a tip, take your own as to hire one cost €5!! All in all , our stay was fine but if I returned to Salamanca which was beautiful I would find somewhere else to stay.

    Unpleasant stay

    rating19 Sept 2023

We came as a tour group just for a night on 20-21 Sept 2023, overall, we think the hotel don't deserve a 4 star, at all.Room:- no kettle for hot water, no ironing board (basic essential of a hotel room)- wifi is inaccessible at night.- room is well maintained, clean, spacious,Gym is 24/7Service- very unfriendly staff, especially during our breakfast - the staff handling us, was strict, a lot of restrictions. Bad attitude in hospitality, no smile, cross hands body language. Always saying no, no, no- food is scarce, stale bread, there is a clear difference of good food provided to the locals compared to my group.- no proper plates given, ask to use a small coffee plates instead,- no proper bowl for cereals, given small glass mug- limited drinking water bottlesLocation:- outskirts, away from city- Golf field is nearbyIs this how your hotel treats customer staying your hotel? This would be the first and last staying in this hotel.BAD!
