Our stay at the Puente Romano Hotel in Salamanca Spain was awful. The man at reception was not very welcoming, he was miserable, unfriendly, and looked like he hated his job. The furniture and decor was tired, dirty, out of date and the whole hotel was extremely unkept. We stayed 1 night while visiting Salamanca. Paid parking is available. Nice walk across the bridge to the Cathedral and Old Town. Staff very nice! We weren’t sure about the neighborhood, but it was fine. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool area, but we didn’t use it. Relaxing drinks at the bar. The hotel is located near the bridge to the old town, easy walk and stunning views. Parking for 11 euros is secure underground or free on the nearby street. We had a terrace and good view of the cathedral, the double bed was two singles pushed together but comfortable, though the pillows weren't great.
