I used to go to this hotel every year as a child so when I decided to go on a solo holiday (now in my 30’s) for a few days I was excited to go back! I want to start by saying I had a lovely time and always felt safe. However, the rooms are exactly the same from 15+ years ago and need some major TLC. I had a sunset view room which gave me a lovely view of the sunset, I enjoyed this every evening! Just returned from a fantastic 7 nights at this wonderful hotel.First the good points.No nonsense friendly check in.Room as you would expect. Everything in place for a couple cleaned everyday. Fridge in room safety deposit box for a small fee. No kettle unless you hire. Not impressed; the restaurant and food quality was akin to a poor 60s cafeteria with rude staff, hardly surprising when there are 600 rooms, potentially 1000 guests to cater for. Rooms adequate but showing their age Housekeeping was excellent as were reception staff. Lack of in room information as to what “entertainment “ etc was available. Just returned from another very enjoyable holiday at Sol Milanos Pinguinos. We travelled with Jet2 holidays. Although arriving early at 12.00 our room was ready for us. We were all inclusive so lunch at 13.00 and on the beach by 14.00. The hotel is on the beach which also has three beach bars. This hotel is far better than the 3 star. Immaculate, rooms, public areas, gardens all very clean and well presented. Beautiful pool area, location second to none, so nice to have such a stunning sea view. Food what you expect from an all inclusive. Only two minor faults, would be nice to have tea and coffee available at lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. The bar gets very busy with long queue… This hotel is far better than the 3 star.
