This was supposed to be good as parador is very famous upscale local chain of hotels. Instead, it’s a hotel that urgently needs refurbishment both in terms of quality of rooms/public spaces and in terms of staff. Wherever you look, things are either old or broken. Customer centricity has left the building as well. Wanted to have coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening and staff was nowhere… This was supposed to be good as parador is very famous upscale local chain of hotels. Not worth the money. it is outdated and worn. The reception lady was great. The breakfast excellent. I like the 3 levels of sitting area. I dislike motion sensor light in the hallway. I don’t like the heavy key chain . This Parador is not of the chain’s normal standards, but then in Melilla you barely have any competition and choices. My bathroom was yucky with no window and ventilation, so paint was peeling from the ceiling, mold flourished in the caulking between tiles, water leaked every time from the bathtub/shower onto the marble floor rendering it dangerously slippery.
