I loved everything about this place. Beautiful, clean rooms. Breakfast was more than adequate with a huge variety of choises. Each guest had their own bamboo tongs to use at the buffet which is much more sanitary than having each person handling the same serving spoon. Luxurious facility! Handy location close to the old town but not in it and only a short drive to Ponferrada to see the fabulous Templar castle. Villafranca del bierza is lovely with the requisite castle and churches on the pilgrim route. The hotel was very comfortable and spacious although very modern in style. Very large comfortable bed.
