Location

The centre of town is just 300 m from the hotel. A variety of restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities can be found in the immediate vicinity. The bus station, train station and tourist centre are all located nearby while the nearest beach is a 2-hour drive away. The river and park can be found just a 5-minute walk away. Ruta de los Dinosaurios and Parque Tematico Arguedas are both a 30-minute drive away. Bardenas Reales is some 45 minutes away by car, while Bodesa (Bodega de Sarria winery) is just 20 minutes away.

Facility

60 non-smoking rooms, including 3 junior suites, 5 single rooms and 42 double rooms, are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected.     Was in the area working and decided to stay at the parador. I have seen better ones but the rooms are big and warm the breakfast is good and the girl on reception went out of her way to be helpful.     This is a charming hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant, for dinner, had an excellent choice on the menu. Breakfast was substantial and good. The staff were all excellent.     This was the first Parador we ever stayed in over 10 years ago and this is our first visit back since. We were just staying for one night on our way to catch the ferry. We have stayed in Paradors quite a bit over the years and generally the experience is excellent. The Parador Calahorra is no exception. Calahorra is a nice place to visit or stop off and the hotel is convenient in the centre of town. It has free parking. The service is very good and breakfast excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming. The parking was full when we arrived as we were delayed by traffic but the gentleman at reception moved his car to let us park. Our room was large with a view and quite comfortable. We didn't dine in on this trip but there are restaurants convenient to the hotel. Hopefully we will get back for a longer visit next time.     We requested a double room but were allocated a twin. Our room was changed but was so close to the lift shaft the elevator motor was louder than the room TV and made sleep difficult Parador de Calahorra Directora, Other at Parador de Calahorra, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Your reservation was for a double room with two beds. The double beds are slightly smaller, and on the day of your stay, we had the only one available.
