Overall, the hotel was excellent - top location in the center of town walking distance everywhere, friendly and professional front desk staff, and great modern rooms. However what put the hotel over the top for me for a true 5 star review was the reaction and resolution of the hotel manager to an issue I had. Beautiful hotel in a historic looking building right in one of the central squares of old town. It doesn’t get more central than this for walking everywhere. We inadvertently were in Logroño right in the middle of the Rioja wine festival (San Mateo) though, so it also meant hearing partying and music until 3am — but not their fault! More of a four than a five star, this has small rooms and tiny bathrooms, with perfunctory self-service breakfast. Staff don't seem very evident. Centrally located. The first thing to mention is the access!!! Although, after booking and reserving parking, you receive directions and the limitations of the parking access, this is not apparent at the time of booking. Plainly, no one would question whether the access was dreadful, they would assume it was acceptable, it isn't! It is also unsafe.
