Location

The hotel is located in the centre of La Torre Golf Resort, a tourist complex situated between Murcia and San Javier in the province of Murcia. It enjoys a beautiful location in front of a lake. Nearby are a great variety of restaurants and bars with a great nightlife. The train station is located some 4 km from the hotel. Murcia-San Javier Airport is around 34 km away and El Altet Airport approximately 100 km away.

Facility

The holiday village has a lift and features 133 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Amazing special occasion lunch

We had a special occasion lunch at the Vinoteca restaurant to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband’s 50th birthday with our family and friends. We spoke with Veronica in the events team and came up with a menu to suit everyone. The food was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. We had 2 gluten free guests and 2 guests who don’t eat fish, they were catered for perfectly and everyone was blown away. Every course was delicious, especially the beef wellington!The service from Carolina and Silvia was fantastic and the table set outside on the terrace looked lovely and even the weather was perfect too! We would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back.

An Excellent Resort Property Overall in a Pleasant Environment

I was exceptionally pleased with my visit to this Doubletree. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was a bit worried - it being somewhat distanced from a community. The staff - Jose Manuel, Raul, Fatima at Reception and the breakfast and bar staff were top quality and very attentive to details. My King superior room, as an upgrade was comfortable, warm wood design and spacious with a large bath with separate shower and tub. The housekeepers were attentive daily and public areas equally well kept. I was glad to visit in off season, as well when it was likely quieter. The breakfast buffet - while a bit crowded at times had very nice selection to meet a variety of tastes.If there was any disappointment, it may have been in the bar food menu. The chicken sandwich option I had for its price could have been a bit higher in its quality.However, all in all I enjoyed an excellent visit and look forward to return when time allows.

Nice location inside the excellent La Torre Golf urbanisation. Staff were fabulous. Double room with balcony situated very well. Food & drink priced very sensibly both in the hotel and the nearby restaurants and bars. One downside is Hilton charge €22 per day to park your car.Please don’t fall for it as there are literally hundreds of free spaces available around the hotel. Shame on them for this shakedown.

Booked 2 rooms on a 2 night stay no breakfast. We had a superior twin room very spacious with fridge. Room had a kettle. Lovely big bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. Beds were comfortable and our room got cleaned. Yes slightly dated but room was clean and quiet. Our daughter and family had a triple superior queen room plus a cot.Perfectly fine with a pool view. Would agree not a 5star but a 4 star. We all liked the pool area plenty sunbeds. Pool towels were a bit slow to appear but just asked at reception. We ate at resort had breakfast at the Woodhouse. In evening the Greek taverna was super tasty big portions. 2nd night ate at Blue Collar food was delicious great menu. Sports bar was busy and reasonable. I would say a few nights here is fine as not enough amenities for young children or choices of eateries.We booked due to location to Murcia airport as travelled from Mojacar area.

3rd time wasn’t a charm.

3rd stay at the hotel and this time wasn’t the best experience. The room, ground floor, adequate and well cleaned on arrival. Disappointing though that a neighbouring room’s half eaten room service sat outside in the hallway for the whole of the first day. Nice size patio/balcony but it would have been nice to have a table on the patio along with just the two chairs so that you had somewhere for a drink or to work from. Bed linen is good quality but beds are well used with sagging mattresses meaning even in single beds you roll to the dip in the middle making them uneven and uncomfortable. The major dissatisfactions were firstly that we had 2 consecutive nights with 7+ cockroaches in the bathroom each time, secondly that the air conditioning didn’t work properly half the time in the room. (confirmed by the maintenance man that came to sort the cockroaches.) As the hotel was full we were told they were unable to do move us and additional attempts to contact reception on the matter were fruitless with unanswered calls. In the end we felt we had no choice but to sweat it up and get through the remaining nights. It was as a result not the restful stay we’d hoped for and not a positive experience this time round. We would definitely consider staying else where for our next trip for visiting family in the area. Positives: good location for us, Fatima at check in was lovely, cleanliness of pool area and room housekeeping Negatives: air conditioning and roaches in the room; both significant issues along with the inability to proactively respond to guest issues.
