An unpleasant stay

We have just spent four nights at the Parador de la Gomera and our staying couldn’t have been worse. Our two rooms had big stains on the carpet, not to mention the bathrooms, where we found hairs in the tub, the toilet brush and the bidet towels were missing, and the shower walls were all flaking. I have been going there for 5 years. The staff is lovely, the food too. My cat died the day before my birthday so I thought I would have a good meal. The staff is excellent. But the car had a flat tire so I parked it outside of the gate and told the reception it would be picked up. This blond lady said it had to be moved immediately. I called a good friend who did it. A terrific location with great sea views and very well kept garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Built in 1972 and showing some signs of wear in our superior room with a sea view. High standard of linen and towels.Breakfast service a bit chaotic but lots of choice in the buffet.
