Reasonable for one or two nights stopover

    rating20 Mar 2023

Ok Hotel for stopover when travelling south. As in most hotels in Spain, no kettle in room so we always take a travel kettle.Room clean, Spanish only TV, no English spoken by any of the staff....fair enough, we are in Spain after all. Comfortable bed, OK breakfast. No complaints.

TERRIBLE/////We have travelled and stayed in a lot of hotels in Spain and this has to be the worst.First upset was that the reception could not speak English and had to show me the reservation paper to make sure it was my reservation with my name on it..As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere the option to eat outside the hotel was very limited so it had to be the hotel restaurant....IF IT HAD OF BEEN OPEN//We decided rather than go hungry we would eat in the bar. The menu was very basic and getting the barman to understand was another issue as he didn't speak English and the menu was only in Spanish Opting for a burger and chips it was then. (I have said that the receptionist and barman didn't speak English and some people will say that we are in Spain so we should speak there language. But....if these type of hotels want to attract the international traveller then they should at least learn or employ staff that speak the international language). There was no hotel information in the rooms or any information about the restaurant and what time breakfast was served.Back to the bar, which was full of locals and children, which obviously wasn't a problem. What was a problem was trying to eat when everyone was glued to the tv watching a disgraceful bullfight and cheering when the idiot matador stuck his sword into the helpless animal. AND THIS IS 2019 EUROPE. absolutely shocking and distressing watching animal cruelty being shown in a hotel bar..I would like to say some good things about this hotel but sadly I cannot. The wifi was weak, the rooms were basic and cold, The air con would not switch off unless switched off from the fuse bourd. The hotel is well dated and only worthy of a 1 star.I think photoshop has done a great job enhancing the hotel and rooms for the online hotel booking sites.Save your money.

    Old fashioned

    rating02 Nov 2016

This hotel has seen better days but somehow has the charm of the 70s. The room was ok in size but without views, bed ok, I had a quiet sleep. Breakfast is served at the table, the Andalusian style, where you order toasted bread with some olive oil or tomato or butter and marmalade, together with an orange juice and a cup of coffee, that's all. The location is convenient if you are travelling by car, but not so nice if you wish to explore the city as you have to bypass some abandoned factory buildings first with a chance to meet some young guys you rather prefer not to make acquaintance with.

    Wifi Weak, Bonking Strong

The Zodiaco, I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I found the food OK, but served in the cafeteria as the restaurant was used for private parties. The wifi signal is very week and intermittent. The walls are paper thin and the sounds of passion could be heard quite clearly from neighbouring rooms, this was probably balanced by my snoring! I would not recommend this establishment.
