Everything a Parador should be - castle on a hill! Park in their courtyard if you can - paid parking outside and it's busy. Lovely inside, rooms with balcony were big and well appointed if a bit dated. Big restaurant with excellent food and good bar meals as well. Lovely sitting outside in evening but service slow - got impression they needed extra staff. Really good breakfast buffet and small coo… Everything a Parador should be - castle on a hill! Very, very disappointing. A guest helped us with our luggage - no staff available. The car park was full - we were told we could pay 5 euros and park outside.No water in the room - only in the mini bar.In the restaurant the baby goat at 33 euros was only bone - I returned it.My husband ask for his meal to be served with mine - it was kept warm somewhere for 20 minutes and very disappointing.We did… Very, very disappointing. Terrible Experience with very bad service.My wife and I stayed at Parador de Siguenza as the last Parador for a trip we have just completed in Spain and it was the only Parador where we had such a bad experience. We stayed for 3 nights and planned to dine at the Parador de Siguenza for each of the 3 nights but after the first night that didn’t happen. From a distance you can see this majestic Parador at the top of the village. It’s very impressive. As you walk in, you feel transported in another era. The rooms are spacious. The staff is very helpful. The restaurant is excellent. If you like pasta! I highly recommend the pasta dish. Had the weather been warmer, I would have liked to enjoy the courtyards. You tend to know what you are getting in Parador, and that's often why I stay in them. They are always clean and functional, the staff are always friendly and they are often in terrific buildings and interesting places. The Parador de Sigüenza is no exception; clean, comfortable, well-staffed and welcoming. The building is also amazing, as is the small town.
