Fabulous setting, but something is not right

Our visit to Granada and the AlHambra was a trip highlight, and I would highly recommend staying a night or two as part of an AlHambra visit due to the incredibly beautiful setting. First, the hotel is isolated from the rest of Granada, and large crowds make it difficult for cab drivers to access the hilltop where the hotel is located. Dirty, cheaply furnished, horrible rooms. We booked one of their premier suites and ended up walking away from it. This was not what we were promised but a gross 1 star hotel experience. Disappointing. This hotel is extremely overpriced and over rated compare to other in the same range.The room was very small. The bathroom uncomfortable, the sink didn't have a vanity to set staff on. The included breakfast was close to a cafeteria breakfast and the staff seemed to be in a permanent bad mood.The location is pretty but difficult to get to. The staff were kind but mostly uninterested on clients. The breakfast bar was good but when ordered a fried egg it was terrible. They set the coffee on the table so you may end up drinking cold coffee. Terrible, unfriendly service! No I wasn’t staying there but was hoping for a nice drink and snack before the night visit to Alhambra. So expensive - I guess they can charge a lot for the location.Server didn’t ask if I wanted 1/2 or full portion, croquetas tasted ok but nothing special, sangria didn’t taste like anything, but the complimentary olives were good, so 1 star for that.
