The island's government has implemented a project here to improve and beautify the area. The Maipez mountains, after which the hotel is named, cover an area of around 30,000 m³. Volcanic eruptions and the solidification of the lava flow shaped these mountains. This hotel is located in La Calzada, in the north of Gran Canaria and only around 10 minutes away from the capital and around 25 minutes from the airport.
