Beautiful hotel and great stay

We have just returned from a 7 night stay as a family 4 adults 1 kid age 9. We had a brilliant time and personally say this is more of a 4 star than a 3. The hotel was clean and tidy, we were self catering and rooms were well equipped and spacious, a bit dated but clean and beds very comfy. Pools were heated and were brilliant, mats to put on the beds then a pool towel was left in your room. My daughter had lots of fun in them and tonnes of beds so plenty for everyone. Roughly a 10 minute walk to the top of the strip then another 10/15 minute walk down to music square. I hate to say but my only negative is the animation team….my 9 year old loves the clubs on holiday and is always involved in a lot of the activities. There was only 2 girls who didn’t have much enthusiasm or interaction in the kids club, and my daughter even left one of the days as she was bored which has never happened in all the holidays we’ve been on. They don't announce the activities so not a lot of people knew about them with there being 3 pools. so not a lot of involvement from guests as they couldn’t hear what was going on at the main pool and also half of the activities on the board didn’t even happen. Usually on out last day my wee girl is getting photos and cuddles from animation team but didn’t even mention them on this holiday. Entertainment at night was live singers who were all really good, makes a change from magic shows and acrobats but no animation team at night so no kids mini disco which is always a hit with the younger ones and no announcement to introduce the acts etc which we’ve never come across in all our holidays. All in all lovely hotel and great holiday but for us and our girl big let down from animation team.

It was our first time in this hotel, i was recomended by some friends, definiltely we will come back again, our family loved this place, the apartments are cleaned and confortable, the food was good and not so expensive!!Special thanks for Samuel and Gigi for taking care of our requests!

Fantastic all inclusive stay as a family of 5

We have just returned from a 10 night all inclusive stay as a family of 5 inc 11yr old and 3yr old twins. We were a little worried after reading some of the reviews but please dont be !! We had the most amazing time and I would personally say this hotel felt more like a 4 star than 3. The positives far, far out weigh any negatives in our eyes.Positives-* all of the staff we had contact with from cleaners, bar staff, chefs, restaurant staff, reception to maintenance were all polite and friendly.* the hotel was clean and tidy*rooms well equipped and spacious, dated but clean and functional furniture and we found the beds very comfy.* pools....AMAZING ! As were heated so no cold chill and my boys had endless hours of fun in them. (Baby pool is not heated and was a little cooler but we enjoyed the other 2 pools)* hotel provides 1 free pool towel per person in your room on arrival so no need to take own.*mini golf was a long course and fun.*playground perfect for little 2.* no sunbed wars which was fantastic as no early morning rush*all inclusive food was lovely, theme nights on point especially Mexican and Italian which were our favourites. Some items weren't always red hot but we never had anything we didnt like and the meat was always so tender and tasty.*all inclusive self service beer, wine and soft drinks were great as well. Nice beer and soft drinks proper branded.* all inclusive ice cream tubs very nice and plenty.* evening entertainment was live singers / musicians and we really enjoyed everyone over the 10 nights.*location - ideal for walks to the main strip, water park and beach. Roughly 10 / 15 min walk i would say.* quiet and peaceful location.*stunning, well kept grounds.'Negatives'* 5pm check in is a little late but you can use all facilities on arrival so just make sun cream amd swim wear easy access and your fine.* the all inclusive snack bar is basic and not always red hot but food was tasty. They have burgers, hot dogs, chips, chicken nuggets, basic salad and fruit.*animation team is only 2 girls and they dont advertise the activities very well so not many people joined in what few activities there were, this didnt bother us at all and my eldest loved water polo and water basket.* could use some music around the pool area i think.Honestly I could go on and on over the positive elements of this hotel, we truely did enjoy our stay in every way. Las Marismas was willing to call the police on me for their 7 euro mistake.

It started badly with a mouse running around our room when we arrived, my foot accidentally connected with a rat in the hotel grounds on day two. But as we are animals lovers that really wasn't a big deal for us. The main issue we had was how the bar tabs were paid. The system charges for food and drinks to the room and this system is open to mistakes. So make sure to check receipts before signing them .We were charged for three coffees at the pool bar that we never ordered. We don't drink coffee. The receipt was printing numbers on different lines and I thought I signed for 4.50, it turned out to be 14.50, okay my mistake but what happened next really surprised me. When complaining to the reception staff I was told there was nothing they could do because I signed the receipt. I said I am not paying for something I did not buy, and that's when I was told they would call the police. For seven euros of coffee, I did not order or receive, this hotel was going to call the police. Let that sink! Nice to see you again Las Marismas

It’s been 3 years since we last came to Corralejo, and stayed at the Las Marismas (LM). We had a room overlooking the far side of the pool on level 3. As with previous stays, the hotel is clean, tidy and comfy. The staff were friendly and we were welcomed with a bottle of red wine in our room.LM is perfectly located, 10 minute stroll from the main strip, and 5 minute walk to the Campanario shopping centre.One tip, if you want the hotel to book you a cab to the airport, you’ll need to do so in advance.Also, it’s good to see LM doesn’t allow guests reserving sun beds.Thanks team LM, we’ll hopefully see you again next year.
