Cleanliness and comfort issues
It pains me to have to write this review about this otherwise lovely hotel. It's pretty to look at but lacks some basic sanitation and comforts. We stayed for 5 days and the entire time, the shower has poor temperature control and constantly vacillates from hot to cold so that it is impossible to take a pleasant shower. Further, there was absolutely no Wifi, and this impeded business meetings---so… It pains me to have to write this review about this otherwise lovely hotel. Look at the windmills, the castle on the hill and this is the perimeter of a delightful stay in the middle of nowhere. It is hard to find but it is worth the trip. I was here for 5 nights and slept comfortably in a great room. The hotel has many great areas to lounge in. I enjoyed the food, except was a little disappointed with the paella. A fantastic hotel
You don't really expect to find such a high class hotel in a small town like Belmonte. We have been to all the Parador hotels in the Iberian Peninsula and this hotel can match just any of those. This is a former palace that have been restored into an excellent hotel but still have kept its original atmosphere. It's a pity that on our visit day only 3-4 rooms were occupied.
