The beautiful, sprawling local sandy beach is located some 400 m away and can easily be reached by passing down a narrow road and descending a flight of steps. We were allocated room A16 a ground floor room adjoining the pool area. A wall about, a metre high, separates the patio of the room from this area. Access to the pool area can be made by a rear gate adjoining the street that is code controlled.We then experienced the following problems;1. The patio door lock was broken. The photos and description of this hotel do not resemble the experience. The double spa beds overlooking the sea are genereally unused as there is a 30 euro a day charge.The pool is roped off until 11am and pool towels are not available until then either. The photographs on the hotel website and Jet2 websites are very misleading. In the photos it looks like you can walk straight from the hotel onto the beach, you cant! The hotel is not next to the beach, it is a 15/20 minute walk. There is a smell of drains coming from the road between the hotel and the beach. Today we were not allowed on the sunbeds until 11am as the hotel was taking promotional photographs. On the positive the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. Location but disappointing

Overall, we left feeling somewhat disappointed with our stay. We had booked the Junior Suite with Private Terrace & Jacuzzi for two adults directly through the official Fergus Conil website, but the room we were allocated was not representative of the room shown in the photographs. Although the room itself was spacious and pleasant, it did not reflect the images advertised online and therefore… Overall, we left feeling somewhat disappointed with our stay.
