    Wonderful experience

    rating31 Aug 2025

This is a five star review because of our experience at the hotel. We knew this wasn't a glossy five star hotel. Yes, some of the furniture has seen better days and there are ill fitting doors and signs of wear and tear. But if you want an authentic Spanish experience this is a fabulous place. The views are absolutely stunning and you find yourself stopping just to look at them every time you come up the stairs or out of a door. It's such a tranquil location, no road noise at all (but the road up to the hotel is smooth to drive), a beautiful village nearby and just absolute peace. The swimming pool is great with lounge chairs set out and it was never busy. The layout of the hotel is like a little Spanish village with white washed buildings and it is just blissful! The staff, most of whom spoke no English were really lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good, all continental but plenty of food. We ate other meals in the hotel twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. The menu has a lot of Spanish specialities as you would imagine. We were the only English there but felt completely at home and I am now converted to the joy of going off the beaten track!

    Very pleasant stay

    rating14 Mar 2024

We stayed for three nights end February in a studio apartment. I loved staying there and wished I had chosen to stay longer when planning my trip. It's quiet and surrounded by olive plantations, in the style of a pueblo blanco. Our apartment had a view over the countryside. It was spotlessly clean, absolutely perfect. There's a small kitchenette with a fridge and electric hob. Kitchenette corner was a bit vintage, but as I say, perfectly clean and everything working. Comfortable bed with a new mattress. Warm and cosy. Very friendly and kind staff. The hotel areas are very pretty, in Andalucia style, there was a log fire too. We didn't try the restaurant but prices seemed reasonable. The studio apartment was excellent value for money, especially considering you can use the hotel facilities too. I would recommend without hesitation to anyone who wants a clean and pleasant place to explore the area without spending a lot.

Worth looking at this place if you are looking value for money, cleanliness, nice food and good service

    rating19 Jul 2016

On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful receptionist. This proved true for the other hotel staff we encountered during our stay. Other reviews mentioned the tiredness of the hotel and its environs. They were accurate but the price (very good for B&B) and convenience for us, to where we were working, made this place a hit. The food was excellent in the restaurant and again the staff were first class. The views from the terrace beside the pool was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed chilling out with a glass of wine after a long day elsewhere. We had a studio room which was always clean, and very comfortable, towels changed regularly and beds changed every few days. The AC was superb as temps were around 42C. Exceptional value.

    Very old style romantic

    rating16 Jul 2016

Really enjoyed the stay in villas, had the agua apartment. Had a feeling that it is a resort more for older people, quite and old school style of romance, but very good for young families as well. Great surroundings of mountains and priego de cordoba, covered with olive trees. They support locals, like D.O.P. products in the dining room.

    Family Vacation

    rating22 Sept 2015

I took my Family to this Hotel and we rented two Villas and the 10 days flew by with fun in the sun using their great relaxing pool. There was a town Saint procession that went on during our stay and it was wonderful. The food at the hotel was great and we did find a restaurant down the road a few miles and it had the best beef we had during the 3 year tour of duty in Spain. I would highly recommend this Hotel it has friendly staff. hotelvandalucia, Recepcionista at Villa Turistica de Priego de Cordoba, responded to this review Dear sir, we are really happy to know you have enjoyed your stay at our place.
