Boutique chic or old and tatty?

There is no doubt that this 1 star hotel has character. The reception is full of antiques/objets d’arts- feast your eyes….. Our ground floor room was filled by the double bed with just enough room to pass on either side. The bathroom was a contortionist’s dream. The only way to close the door was to step into the shower cubicle. The lady on desk duty when we arrived made it clear that she was not… There is no doubt that this 1 star hotel has character. Lovely cute boutique hotel! All the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Always welcoming. Rooms were small but cosy, clean and tidy. The hotel was central and easy to walk to everything. My daughter and i stayed here for one night and loved it!Welcoming staff nice breakfast and reasonably priced facing the beach in an quaint old building with art work adorning all the walls. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Charming hotel in a quiet neighbourhood near the beach

I chose this place because it is away from the main drag in Santander, but still with easy access. We walked most places otherwise you could hop on one of the many buses or grab a cab.We were on the ground floor. The room was small but delightfully decorated with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was down some stairs where a limited buffet was on offer, but this included locally made pastries. Difficult review, all fine for my needs however.

Difficult review this as I'd place it higher than a three but not a four for me.Handy for the fine beach and near the football stadium which was my reason for visiting.
