staff were very accommodating for our large group and very helpful booking taxis and buses. Stayed one night on the come in the north, and overall it was fine?. Check in easy, functional rooms with ok beds, and a cafe on the ground to get coffee, breakfast etc. didn’t use the spa or gym. Wonderful friendly staff
We came across the Hotel San Millan after being refused boarding by Brittany Ferries because of a vehicle problem - even though we had a dog-friendly cabin booked well in advance. We stayed here after our Camino trek. Halfway between the city of Santander and the airport, we had no transport so took taxis everywhere, perhaps we would have been better off in the city itself. There are four of us - and they could not fit us in one room - so put three in one and myself in the other. The hotel was more of a very loud gym with classes and music than a hotel. The hotel parking was all being used by gym visitors and we had to wait in the car for one hour before obtaining a space and then aggressively accosted by someone else claiming it was their space.
