We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at the Balneario de Alceda, having made the reservation through Buscaunchollo, and unfortunately our experience was far below expectations.I join the numerous criticisms this establishment has received, as I believe it needs a comprehensive renovation and a deep cleaning. We stayed at the Balneario de al Ceda; the only acceptable things were the reception staff, the spa workers, and the waitresses.The entire building needs many repairs! The room was in very poor condition: broken floor tiles, damaged furniture missing pieces, a broken remote control covered in electrical tape, plus a very outdated television that could not stream content from a mobile phone. A very small portion of fried squid, very expensive, not worth it, we went to eat them because of an Instagram video and from what you see in the video to what they serve you, they are not the same dimensions, regarding the cephalopod it is not of bad quality but they are by no means the best anywhere, not recommended at all. A huge thank you to Florin and Beatrix who looked after me and my friend during our stay. Not being able to speak more than a few basic words of Spanish, they went out of their way to make sure we were assisted whenever we needed it.This is a fabulous hotel, with a feel for the real Cantabria. We came for a relaxing few days - and were not disappointed.Though we had little Spanish, every effort was made by the owners and staff to help us.All drinks arrived with tapas, which were tasty and fresh. The pools were amazing and worked wonders on my post operation husband.
