Great place to stay if visiting the Picos
I was on a solo motorcycling trip in Spain. This was my stay for 3 nights whilst in the Picos Europe area. It is a typical Spanish style hotel.I speak a little Spanish and with the help of Google translate got everything sorted. The staff speak no English. Why should they? But the owner was very welcoming and I had to chase her down to make payment at the end of my stay. It's really busy in a morn… I was on a solo motorcycling trip in Spain. low budget, high quality

Moto tour of Spain and Portugal
Used Potes as a base for the last couple of days of our moto tour Spain and Portugal. Hosteria was great value with good sized rooms and great bathrooms.Good bar and lots of local produce for evening meal and breakfast.Well worth it!!!Used Potes as a base for the last couple of days of our moto tour Spain and Portugal. As part of our Northern Spain and Portugal tour we stopped off at Potes for the night. With only a 45 euro budget for the night (to include parking) we stayed the night at the Penas Sagra hostal, based on top of a bar right by the roundabout. The staff were very friendly in the actual hostal and the room was OK, what we expected for the money we were paying. The shower was particularly good.
