  Stayed here on our Camino walk. The location is good if you like the beach where we hung out for a good while!! Lots of restaurants were closed ? Maybe because we were coming into autumn.   Recently stayed in this beautiful town on our Camino adventure. The hotel is somewhat olde world and while some reviews I had read were quite critical of the state of the rooms and indeed the service, that was not our experience.   What an abomination! Simply put, this place makes fawlty towers look like the peninsula in HK. First no hot water, then no water at all. Bed mattress filthy as if it was collected from the rubbish tip, Springs coming through mattress. Room Filthy, paper thin walls, staff rude and disinterested.   We stayed here on our stop-off in Laredo on the Camino. This is a shabby establishment, with not a lot to recommend it. The staff did their best but the rooms were badly in need of an overhaul - very old stained carpet in our room, and dusty curtains, and cobwebs around the windows.   Good rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was mediocre — no cheese, no eggs. The dining area where they put us was dark — a bar. The reception area too was very dark.
