Great location for the centre of town, very impressed with Santander for a few nights stay, such a nice walkable city. Nice vibe to the place, lots of lively bars and cafes, gorgeous beaches. I paid over the odds for a room with a city view - the room I got looked into a wall. The milk in the restaurant is sour - this was raised on separate days with different staff, one just shrugged, the other changed the milk for more sour stuff. The room I booked was supposed to be sound-proofed however there were ear shattering construction works the entire time - from 8am every morning. Excellent hotel, centrally positioned, very clean, comfortable. Within walking distance of bus and train station. Restaurants and bars nearby and within strolling distance. Hotel was OK. It is centrally located, it looks nice, our room was fine although there was a smell of damp in it. On the negative side, we found both our welcome & goodbye from the hotel pretty disappointing. The various reception staff seemed very uninterested on arrival, basically gave us the keys & went about their business. I was more disappointed on settling the bill when checking out… Hotel was OK.
