A beautifully and sensitively renovated building within a 5 minute walk of the stunning, underrated, refreshingly uncommercialised and uncrowded old town of Trujillo. Such places in Europe are extremely rare. The parador where we spent 4 nights has all modern conveniences, eg. quiet aircon (needed in a hot September), swimming pool and room safe boxes, whilst respecting its historical origins. We chose to stay at the Parador in Trujillo as we enjoy staying at the Paradors in Spain. It was in the perfect location and walking distance to all the sights and centre of town.
