The hotel is located in the centre of the town of Guadalupe beside the Santa Maria de Guadalupe monastery. The region is known as Las Villuercas- Ibores. The village can be accessed by car or bus from Madrid or Cáceres (125 km away) and links to public transport can be found nearby. There are a number of bars and night life locations in the locality and Orellana Lake is some 50 km away. The Guadalupe River, the forest and the river are all just a short walk away. Ermita del Humilladero is only 4 km away, Montfragüe is some 125 km away, and Trujillo is only 80 km away.

Lovely hotel in main square in Guadalupe opposite the monastery. Unique character in the rooms and plenty of space. Excellent restaurant on site for dinner and really good buffet breakfasts. Pool was closed when we were there. Location is perfect ( bear in mind Guadalupe is small) but if you have walking or mobility challenges be aware you are on a hill with cobble stones. Guadalupe is famous for its monastery, which started building in 1340. The Parador is just in front of monastery in the center of the village. All paradors are modest in decoration, they have same style in decoration to preserve the historical tradition of the place.
