We really liked this hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. Nice size pool with plenty of sun lounges. Location was good, it was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as accessing the towns main attractions. We had a car and managed to find street parking just opposite, they do have a loading zone at the front… We really liked this hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable. an old building adapted to HotelI have spent some nights at this hotel for business reasons in the Extremadura region. I want to mention that the mattresses on the beds were not comfortable enough. I woke up with a dollar back and bad asleep.The breakfast was plentiful and varied.Minimum services, and small staff. We have stayed 3 nights in the Izan Trujillo. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel and its bedrooms remind me of some of the historic paradores that we have stayed in, but without being anywhere near as expensive. There is secure basement parking at €15 a night. When we stayed here this time last year, I heralded this Hotel as one of the best bargains in Spain. This year we had the same room (116 and expected that same experience. Oh dear! What a difference a year makes. Last year we paid Euros 57 for Bed and Breakfast and a further Euros 10.00 each for the Menu of the day. Stayed 2 nights in this fantastic small town, hotel is well situated for walking to main plaza mayor where most of restaurants are.
