    Convenient location

    rating16 Oct 2022

A simple room which could be improved with better lighting. A decent size with a table and chair. The bathroom was adequate and yes the shower needs to run to warm up.Merida is a lovely place with lots to see and do. Lots of restaurants and one I enjoyed was La Mafia, if you like Italian food. There’s also the Temple of Diana and the river with a beautiful old bridge for a pleasant stroll, all very picturesque. Breakfast was average but adequate. I’d stay here again as it was a budget option and it was very convenient as I was on the Via de la Plata pilgrimage.

Good classic hotel very close to main Roman sites

    rating23 Jan 2019

The hotel is very close to the spectacular remains of the former Roman Amphitheatre and Theater in Mérida. Opposite those is the good National Museum of Roman Art.I had a nice room which had a small desk. Free WiFi internet worked well when it worked. When I stayed it suddenly failed at night and did not come back. The next morning it was still down and the frontdesk didn't know how to restart it. Only later the connection was back again. The breakfast buffet was a bit meager with some bread and lots of cakes. No eggs and bacon.

    Pretty good for the peice

We stayed for one night in November 2018 and payed €50 without breakfast. Parking was €11.50Merida itself was really good especially the roman ruins and the squares with very nice bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit. The hotel is centrally located and has parking. Clean and comfortable if not a little quiet. Our room was cleN, comfortable Nd we had no complaints. For a hotel in the middle of town there was little noise

    Nothing like the photos

    rating18 Oct 2018

This hotel was unrecognisable from the photos on Booking.com. It was gloomy and the bedroom was not unlike one in a cheap bed and breakfast with extremely hard beds - no good night’s sleep for us. The bathroom had a chipped polystyrene ceiling and we had no hot water (apparently you have to wait for about 10 minutes to come through). The restaurant and bar weren’t open and there were no cafes or restaurants open nearby. The rating is for the parking.

the worst breakfast I have had . Ever

    rating05 Oct 2018

The good things are the central location and the good secure parking. Otherwise this was below standard in everyway. But the breakfast! Quality, quantity, variety and service were really not good. But to highlight just one item! the coffee; well it came out as some weird mousse and tasted foul.
