The Roman amphitheatre, the National Museum as well as many other attractions are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Links to the public transport network are located directly in front of the hotel. Badajoz airport is around 50 km away.

Great Stay in Historical City of Mérida

Can’t be a bad hotel because this was my second stay here.Checkin was perfect by an efficient and helpful young man name Gustavo, who deserves a special mention as he helped in trying to resolve a small problem when contacting a previous hotel (my Spanish doesn’t run to in-depth conversations over the telephone). We decided to have breakfast at Don Romulo (the hotel’s main cafeteria) this morning. Upon entrance, there was an immediate shock from the screaming waiters!! We sat down and no one greeted us but only yelled at us asking for what coffees we wanted. We then proceeded to order our tostadas but were straight away stopped by the waiter because we had to order by number not name of the tostadas!! We were driving from Madrid to Lisbon and decided to stay about halfway and spend a night. Merida has a lot of great Roman ruins to see so we decided to stay. Good Location - Poor Experience

The room was very good and car parking convenient. Unfortunately during the afternoon and early evening there was a family celebration with lots of children running around the hotel out of control, even on our 5th floor landing. Reported to reception who said there was nothing they could do. Adequate, but noisy.

Stayed on the 14th May 2024. The hotel was clean. The staff were efficient.The bedroom was adequate, however, noise from other people in the hotel made sleeping difficult and the lift made strange noises as it stopped and also could be heard during the night,The bathroom was fine.The breakfast was adequate.Parking was 8 euros.
