Lovely hotel, inside the walls, just across from the cathedral.Good breakfast selection and guest lounges downstairs.Lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Scam Alert! Breakfast is 13 Euros, and no one tells you about it. Everything indicates that it's a free buffet. Then in the middle of breakfast, you get the bill, that also asks for a tip. After talking with the front desk, they offered 2 Euros off. We parked couple if blocks away in a nice underground parking garage I structure. It's a short walk for these sixty-year-olds, however, it's mostly uphill and cobblestones. The hotel, once the Bishop’s estate next to the cathedral at the center of town, could not be in a better location. This hotel is terrible. I’m writing this after midnight and it is 81 degrees in my room. There is no AC, even though theWebsite says there is. The desk clerk is a jerk, an absolutely rude fellow who made fun of us for asking for a fan. He was saying “This is Ávila” to explain why there is no AC, but it was over 80 degrees outside.
