This is an honest review which I feel a bit guilty writing as we unwittingly met the owner who was so lovely and made our evening so enjoyable. However the hotel has a few flaws… 1. The spa is payable extra which was a shame after a long day of travelling.2. The facade and upkeep need ‘upkeeping’ and is tired and messy. The carpets in the bar dirty and all feels a little unclean.3. Doesn't deserve the 4 stars any more; it probably did once.

Basically it doesn't deserve the four star rating. It might have when it was built, but it hasn't been kept up, and no longer seems to have the money.* Lovely staff - it's not their fault.* No food available a lot of the time (until 20:30!) even in the bar or room service.* No coffee or tea in the rooms.* Lights flickering and need replacement (restaurant, rooms, spa)* Obvious patched repairs on t… Basically it doesn't deserve the four star rating. This has all the hallmarks of a hotel that’s in financial difficulties. It’s a relatively new hotel but the French windows have gaps round them and the shower doors don’t fit properly so every morning you follow your shower with a spell of mopping up.The fact that you can see daylight around the windows makes the insulation ineffective and the published house rule that ‘air conditioning should not… This has all the hallmarks of a hotel that’s in financial difficulties. Great hotel, disappointed about restaurant

Hotel is very good, but I would not recommend the restaurant. Starter was excellent (3 langoustinas with carpaccio of viera). Then I had kind of steak, my husband had fabada asturiana. Both were not good, so we returned it after eating just a bit. We did not have to pay for this, which is OK, but like this it is not nice to go a restaurant.
