Not a 4 star hotel
My 3rd. visit to this hotel was very disappointing. Previously I had spacious, though dated, rooms in keeping with the elegance of the building. This time, however I was faced with dark, narrow, badly lit corridors to the room. The room was not very large and furnished with MDF furniture that was of the Ibis type (2Star) with no drawers and minimal wardrobe space covered by only one door. Location is fantastic and the room is clean.We were assigned a “modern room” because of the pet as opposed of the one we booked - no issue with that.I had issue with the rotten chair. The upholstery was all damaged and the night stand was broken. Dated and disappointing
The good part was the very helpful bilingual receptionists who were happy to help us sort out a ) a covid test and b) a difficult taxi journey. The other good thing is the location which is hard to beat. Nice menu del dia... three course meal plus sweets. Pity it was only a choice between wine and water.
