Location

The lodges are set in an area where the Big 5 roam, a mere 2 hour drive from the hectic lifestyle of Johannesburg. The bush ist just outside. The property is concealed within the rich expanses of the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park.

Facility

100 rooms, including 20 single rooms and 56 double rooms, are available. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed. Extra beds or children's beds can be provided upon request. A safe and a desk or, for an additional fee, a minibar are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a plug adapter and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Cleaning on departure is among the services offered. A selection of pillows ensures a comfortable stay. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including tennis, beach volleyball, volleyball and basketball. Both short- and long-stay guests are welcome to use the amenities available at the hotel, including a gym and table tennis. A spa and massage treatments are available in the wellness area.     Really amazing stay at a lodge. Highlights are the game drives where you literally see everything. The boma dinner and village music was one of the best experiences. Truly a great place!     A lovely holiday. We stayed in the timeshare units which had a private pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!     Always looking forward to our trip there

    It's our 4th visit at Bakubung and we always love our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. Sadly my room didn't measure up to expectations this time as there were a few issues like aircon not working and nowhere to charge our phone unless you unplug the kettle. But not a train smash as the positives of staying there really outweigh the issues we had. The food was delicious and I really recommend the biltong soup!
