I had an excellent stay at City Lodge. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The food was absolutely great—delicious and satisfying! The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I highly recommend City Lodge for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Although Durban CBD has gone to the dogs, this little isolated oasis is lovely to stay at. The rooms and bedding was clean, the staff was very helpful and accommodating, the food was good, and the pool was clean and nice to use in the Durban heat and humidity. It is close to the people mover buses. Well located, very affordable, great place to stay. However, there was no complementary drinking water provided in the rooms.We had also asked for an airport shuttle service but the email apparently went missing. A taxi was booked for us and we had to pay for it.
