    5 nights at The Courtyard Hotel.

    The money is worth it.They have really nice and stylish rooms that are cleaned on a daily basis. They serve delicious breakfast with a variety of food to choose from. Though I didn’t get a chance to order dinner from the hotel ..I had the chance to check out the menu and it seemed to have a few interesting dishes..It is located just next to the beach with some of the rooms having a wonderful beach view.     Reasons to stay at the Courtyard Hotel. Friendly service, great lounge/bar area which was warm and cozy. Excellent bartender 👌, Full breakfasts which was delicious. The rooms are very comfortable and there is good linen on the beds. Coffee station, bath and shower. It's our best place to stay when in Port Elizabeth.     Dont order room service at this hotel

    Do not order room service at this hotel. It takes an hour or more or never comes! And no phones in room. I ordered a simple toasted sandwhich -- after more than an hour I walked over -- and was told it was delivered -- probably to someone else! After waiting 10 min to find out what was going on -- I left and went to be hungry!     Luxury wheelchair-accessible accommodation by the sea

    We booked for a night last minute as our plane connection was delayed. Needed a wheelchair-accessible room, usually difficult to find. This one ticked all the boxes! Beautiful, spacious and very comfortable room. Parked right outside, easy access with ramps. The bathroom was excellent for a wheelchair-bound person, lots of room, suitable heights and useful grab bars. We had a great seafront view, lovely to wake up to! The tiny but well-equipped "kitchen in a cupboard" was a surprise! Great for a bit longer stay. Access to the breakfast room was via a gentle ramp down the side of the hotel, this took us to the verandah. A small ramp for the one step into the dining room would help. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay was an unexpected addition to our trip but we would definitely consider staying there again. It's a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Particularly recommended for wheelchair users, it's an easy place to stay.     Nice hotel but wouldn’t rush back

    PositivesThe hotel itself is very smart and well-located just minutes from the Boardwalk Mall. Our room was clean and spacious with a great view overlooking the ocean and some nice perks like a good coffee machine, fridge and balcony. Lovely main atrium and pool areaFree wine/smoothies in reception were a nice touch NegativesThe staff were friendly, but unfortunately put us off wanting to leave the hotel, insisting it wasn’t safe. This simply isn’t true - granted, avoid being out and about at night as you would in many cities, but take the usual precautions by day and you’ll be absolutely fine. To arrive and be told not to go out really is disheartening so I’m glad we didn’t listen and went out to explore the area anyway (taking sensible precautions ie no jewellery or electronics on show, keeping to main routes etc). No lift and we weren’t offered any help with our luggageAll in all it was a decent stay, but next time I’d try somewhere else in the area.
