Comfortable Stay, Great Staff, but a Bit Away from the Center

I stayed at the Golden Tulip in Cluj-Napoca and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is modern, the rooms are fresh and well-maintained, and the bed was really comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep.The location is not exactly central – it’s about a 30-minute walk to Union Square, so just keep that in mind if you want to be right in the middle of the old town. Beautiful hotel but beware the shower!

This was one of our favourite hotels on our tour of Romania. The room was spacious, tasteful, relaxing, and clean.The bed was comfortable with a firm mattress.The bathroom was nice but a little weird. There was no lock on the door and the shower required a bit of working out to use, but when it got going the water temperature and pressure was good.Breakfast was great here, leagues above the other… This was one of our favourite hotels on our tour of Romania. Modern hotel situated at a walking distance from the city center. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices: cheese - at least 10 different types, salads, fresh fruit , pastry, very good coffee.
