Bad Customer Service- Refused to refund money ($496.32) after cancellation even though they had 11 days notice. Cancelled due to devastation in Portugal from Cyclones, flooding, road/home wash outs. We spent 5 nights here. The room was clean but small. Service was very good and front desk was helpful. Nice little bar in lobby with great bartender and a good happy hour. Breakfast buffet was good. Our 2 night stay at the Turim Saldanha Hotel in Lisbon was a pleasant stay. The hotel is well located in the centre of the city although we did not find a large shopping mall. We had a problem with two busloads turning up for breakfast at the same time but that was fixed for the next day. The hotel let us down. I had booked a twin room, as was travelling with my son, but we were given a double room and then there was no hot water in our room. We had arrived late after a day of travelling and sightseeing wanting a warm shower before bed - so this was awful. Hotel was nice. Clean room, nice bathroom, nice bed, good bar, very friendly staff. I liked the place a lot, my only complaint being its location. It was a 45 minute walk to the old town, where most attractions and restaurants are. With the terrain of Lisbon the walk was easy one way, and brutal the other.
