    Such a cool hotel, with a great restaurant. Do not skip the breakfast in the morning. Most especially, the staff are alert, helpful, and friendly. Renovated historic building with a nice vibe.     we loved everything about it!!! the space is super cool, updated and clean. the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and quiet. the breakfast buffet is wonderful. the location is great, very walkable, a little out of the traditional tourist area. staff was very friendly, and helpful.     Interesting/modern hotel, somewhat mixed staff, ok location.

    First of: this is a really interesting building, with quirky history, and really nicely converted into a hotel. The location is ok, though - you are 10-20mins or so away from the interesting parts of the the city but the direct neighborhood is a bit... less interesting, not to say scary. Staff was generally *extremely* positive and helpful but the room service was outright rude. They made us feel like unwelcome guests in our room because we dared to be there when they decided it was time to look after our room (at 3pm in the afternoon, btw). That's a bit of a shame because everybody else (checkin, breakfast, checkout..) was just lovely. Location and room service - otherwise this is a clear 5*.     I'm so thrilled we found 1908 Lisboa because we will only be staying there for all future visits to Lisbon. We recently went with friends to celebrate my husband's bday and the hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable with a lot of bright airy spaces. Huge perk: across the street from Ramiro's Restaurant & Casa Independente Bar. Upon arrival you're greeted with warm staff and welcome drinks. From the start of our visit until we left, the hotel team were very hospitable and went above and beyond to share local recommendations and ideas for our stay - even going as far as to call and help make reservations, and call our next hotel in Cascais to ensure our room was ready for us upon arrival at our next destination! They were so thoughtful.Huge shoutout to André who is now my favorite person in Portugal. Every recommendation he gave us was fun and delicious and we appreciated all his time and effort. Whatever you're paying him, give that man a raise! The whole 1908 Lisboa team was incredibly nice. Really cannot wait to go back again and will recommend this hotel to all our friends & family.
