Guardian of one of the most exquisite landscapes in Portugal, overlooking the ocean and the wonderful Guincho beach, this hotel is fantastic. The tourist centre with its restaurants and shops is a 10-minute drive away, while the beach is only a short walk from the hotel.

The hotel has 27 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Fortaleza do Guincho is a very special place, with incredible views. Depending on which room you may be staying in, every window tells a dream. Far away, there is an invisible line that separates the beautiful sky and the immense blue-shaded sea, as far as you can see, before it gets you lost in your mind, until the breeze comes in to make you feel a sense of belonging and immediately awakens you… Fortaleza do Guincho is a very special place, with incredible views. This is a truly magical place, perched up on a cliff, with the waves crashing below. Everything is perfect - the locale, the surrounding area (beaches, sand dune conservation area, nearby town, the room, hotel common areas, restaurant and staff. excellent on all levelsthe staff was professional, charismatic, always willing to serve , freindly. The room service was optimal. I particularly liked the surprise fruit bowls left in my room. The front desk was very helpful in helping me make reservations and give suggestions. Very personable staff all around. Wonderful, dramatic property in a dramatic setting right on the coast. Beautiful views. Fantastic service, amazing restaurants and amazing breakfast. There is a michelin star restaurant and a bistro by the same chef and kitchen. We tried the bistro and it was excellent. We rode a bike into Cascais center, that was great.
