    Beautiful Building!

    rating13 Mar 2026

I was so excited to stay in this Spanish Parador - as it had been recommended a number of years ago as something special to do - and it did not disappoint. The building is beautiful, with a cloistered interior, lovely bedrooms and well designed bathrooms; a beautiful dining room and a great location. There is a cafe and a dinning room, (which is an outstanding room with one complete tiled wall). Breakfast was excellent with both Continental options and cooked food. I found the staff were generally professional and efficient but not warm or friendly. It appeared that very few spoke any language other than Spanish, which I found unusual compared to other Paradors.Parking is difficult - there is some free on-street parking but also some garage parking at the hotel at 25 Euros a night! Beware the little man who runs to help you to park (he helped us park in an illegal bay!) and then insists on being tipped! The staff say he is nothing to do with the hotel and yet we saw him inside the hotel on a number of occasions! We did not dine in the restaurant, but the meals in the cafe were reasonable, We stayed in several Paradors on this trip and whilst Cuenca is one of the most beautiful and in a great location - right across the ravine from the Hanging Houses -and you can walk across the bridge into the Old Town. I found it the least welcoming. Juan Serrapio, Other at Parador de Cuenca, responded to this review Mr. SmokyJojoThank you for sharing your impressions of your recent stay and for highlighting the character of the historic building, the comfortable rooms and bathrooms, the dining spaces, and the convenient location. We are also pleased to know that you enjoyed the breakfast selection. We regret that the overall atmosphere felt less welcoming than you expected and appreciate your perspective on staff interactions and language comfort. Your remarks regarding parking and the outside individual you encountered are also noted. Our team is dedicated to providing a gracious, attentive experience that matches the uniqueness of our setting, and feedback like yours helps us uphold those standards. We hope to have the opportunity to offer you a visit that feels as warm as it is memorable. Our best regards;Director of Parador

Beautiful spacious property in a perfect location for a gorgeous town

    rating26 Feb 2026

The room was large and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and bedroom/living area. We were lucky enough to find free parking in front of the parador, otherwise it was €25 per night (2pm checkin to 12pm checkout) in the garage. The meal options at the parador were quite expensive and not overly appealing to us. We enjoyed breakfast in the parador one morning but felt that while the range and quality of food in the buffet and à la carte menu were good, it still felt overpriced at €22pp and we decided not to eat there again. We very much enjoyed the location of the parador, being directly across the walking bridge from the old town and facing directly toward the famous casa colgadas was really nice. The staff were friendly and the building was incredibly clean and well maintained. We were even lucky enough to have a corner room that had a view out over the valley. We would be very happy to stay again in the future. Juan Serrapio, Other at Parador de Cuenca, responded to this review Thank you very much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the spacious room, our privileged location opposite the old town and the views from your corner room.We also appreciate your comments regarding parking and breakfast pricing, and we will take them into consideration. It is a pleasure to know you would happily stay with us again, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

    24 Hours at Cuenca

    rating26 Jan 2026

A fascinating Hotel in walking distance , across a narrow pedestrian bridge, to the hilltop town.Accommodation is in an old building , although no information is supplied of its history, the rooms are to a high standard although our widow looked out onto a courtyard.Evening meal was mainly not to our taste although the Hake was exceptional.Note parking is limited however there is Garage for an additional payment. Juan Serrapio, Other at Parador de Cuenca, responded to this review Dear Mr. Romsey,We thank you for your interest in our Parador, and we appreciate your kind review, and we are glad you enjoyed your stay.

    What a fabulous place

    rating13 Nov 2025

We had a wonderful stay in this parador, which is in a fabulous location and has wonderful amenities. We should have booked for another day as there was so much to see. The staff were all so helpful and nice, and the hotel is gorgeous, with a wonderful bath to relax in after walking around the town. We intend to come back again as there is too much to see in a day. A lovely experience. Juan Serrapio, Other at Parador de Cuenca, responded to this review thank you, we hope you visite us again.
