No sleeping
The hotel it self is excellent but sleeping is not possible on the northwest side of the hotel as a dog in a private dwelling barks all night long. Well worth a short stay
This hotel had been built as a hospital back in the mid-1800's. This explains the unusual architecture for a hotel; a central grand atrium with all the rooms on four floors around it, large, wood-panelled and spacious rooms with incredibly high ceilings. Excellent Experience, Comfort and Value
This was my first time in Viseu and I thoroughly enjoyed the town. It is very walkable and there is beautiful architecture to see. There were many cafes and a nice mix of people, very relaxed vibe. We stayed at Pousada Viseu and it was a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large and comfortable and quiet. A pretentious hotel with no style
A thoroughly disappointing hotel. It pretends to be more upmarket than it actually is. Just because it’s big doesn’t automatically mean it’s stylish. We’ve got a suite. Yes, it’s big. And empty. They’ve definitely skimped on the interior designer (or rather: there wasn’t one), with boxy, bare walls and a single narrow window. We enjoyed our stay here with a Newmarket Holidays group. It is a traditional slightly old fashioned, but charming hotel. Very comfortable room and well appointed bedroom and bathroom. The room looked out over the main street towards the palace.
