Everything it promised
We were notified well in advance (luckily) that the villa was accessible via cobblestones & to bring as little baggage as possible. We bought backpacks but still had difficulty with a clumsy fall by myself due to the heavy crowds of the medieval festival. Once we arrived at the villa we were relaxed. Great location inside the walls of the town. The hotel was impeccable. The room was outstanding. The bed was wonderful. The sheets and room smelled delightful. I thought I died and went to heaven. I don’t know what detergent or air freshener the hotel uses, but wow! I didn’t want to leave. The lady and gentleman who helped me check in were fantastic. They were warm, helpful and welcoming. Nice hotel, clean and big rooms, located right at the heart of Óbidos inside the wall. Check in was done at the castle with a very friendly staff five minutes walk from this place. Classic rooms. There are positives and negatives to staying at the Pousada Vila Obidos. To their credit, this is a very nice micro-hotel that is situated in an unusual place - Obidos. It is virtually in the shadow of a castle and the old world flair of this town makes it very special. The hotel itself is pretty and nicely appointed. Breakfast is the highlight of this hotel.
