Location

This hotel is located 200 m from Lousã town centre. Restaurants, clubs and bars can be found between 1 and 2 km away. From Lousã castle guests can admire the charming chapels erected in honour of Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos, S. João Batista, Nossa Senhora da Agonia and, right on top of the mountain, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade. This could be the beginning of one of the many routes that lead guests, on foot or by jeep, to explore the Lousã Mountain. But Lousã is not only a mountain, it has many other interesting sights: manor houses dating from the 18th and 19th Centuries are a feature on many streets. The Misericordia and its chapel, the parish church, and the beautiful Baroque-style building of the town council contribute to this walk through history ending at the medieval bridge of Foz de Arouce.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 46 non-smoking rooms located in a 3-storey main building and a 4-storey auxiliary building. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Palácio da Lousã Boutique Hotel is centrally located, easy to find and plenty of free parking.The check-in was so friendly and helped with the luggage and answered any qusetions we had. We had the Breakfast special which was excellent with a very large selection. The would even do poached or fried eggs if requested.The spa was very nice and the water temperature in the indoor pool was very warm.We did a day tour to the Schist Villages in the hills and the people at the front desk where so helpful mapping places to see.We did not have dinner at the Hotel so cannot comment on it other than the restaurant look beautiful.We had a deluxe room and it was very spacious with a comfortable bed.What we really liked were the beautiful reading rooms with high ceilings and very comfortable chairs. Great place to sit down and read after a busy day touring Lousaã.We would highly recommend Palácio da Lousã Boutique Hotel for your stay in Lousã.
