Hotel room had a balcony facing the telco tower. Room space was tight. Everything in the room functioned well. Too busy around the buffet at dinner time so we ordered off the menu. Based on the description I saw of the hotel, I was expecting something almost as basic as a Motel 6. Was that a wrong expectation! This is a beautiful hotel high up on a hill with a great view of the surrounding countryside. The room was spacious and clean and a good breakfast was offered. The staff was quite helpful. We stayed only 1 night at the Melia Castel Branco. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a huge variety of options. The hotel is situated on a top of a hill and not the greatest location if you want to have dinner in town.
