Would definitely stay here again.
Could use a few updates but is wonderfully located and for its age is well-maintained. Just think “historic” and your mindset will be about right. Helpful and courteous staff. Great location and services
Great amenities overall. Hotel rooms should be modernized, although good spacing is here. Bathroom shower curtain rod kept falling for a couple of people including myself in rooms, but you get a bidet so I was happy. We stayed here in April 2026 as part of a group tour through Globus Journey. Sadly, I can not recommend this hotel. The room was dark and just didn't really "feel" clean enough. I found it particularly run down. Breakfast was very unsatisfactory. The front desk seemed annoyed if approached with a question. The beds and linens were uncomfortable. Don’t spend your euros here!
Pros of the hotel were friendly, staff, location and cleanliness. This unfortunately did not make up for the smell of old cigarettes. Like your grandparents house in the 1970’s that smoked for ages. You could hear everybody else in their rooms and downstairs if there was an event. In need of a major facelift. The pillows were child size and too soft. Only 1 per bed. This was a hotel used on our Trafalgar bus tour of Portugal The hotel has a nice lobby and lots of little seating areas.Our room was a little tired. Could do with a bit of a refresh.
