  Wonderful little hideaway

  What a wonderful gem of a hotel. It’s inside the walls so think about transportation as cars are tough. My room was immaculate and had a lovely little terrace overlooking the walls. There is lots of bright common space if you want to relax and a really comprehensive and tasty breakfast. Staff were all super kind and nothing was too much trouble.

  The most perfect stay!

  Firstly, Obidos is historic, charming, and magical. Being able to stay within the towns walls was truly wonderful. It was my wife and another couple who stayed here for one night before heading south to our home base of Lagos for our holiday. When we arrived in town we found a free parking lot not that far from the hotel. Yes it’s not easy lugging luggage up and down cobblestone alleys but we knew in advance that we’d have to do this so it wasn’t a big deal at all. The hotel itself is inviting and charming. We were greeted at the front desk with smiles and helpful staff. Our rooms were on the first floor and were well appointed and extremely comfortable. As others have mentioned, bottled water and fresh almonds were provided to all guests of the hotel. Hotel was close to everything in Obidos. The cobblestone alleys were ok to navigate once you found your footing. Our rooms had a nice terrace with a couple of chairs and a table overlooking the courtyard. When we awoke from a wonderful peaceful overnight sleep It was my birthday so we proceeded to the dining area for the breakfast we booked in advance. The staff was extremely kind and brought me a cake and sang Happy Birthday to me. A very nice touch for sure. Breakfast was lovely with a number of hot food items coupled with fresh fruit, cheeses and meats. Well worth having breakfast here before heading out to explore Obidos. We all had a truly amazing experience here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again one day. If you looking for a unique and magical experience then this is the hotel for you. This is not anything like a chain hotel rather it’s an experience like you’ve never had before.   Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms with great onsite restaurant too

  We absolutely loved our stay here. When we arrived to the town we followed the staff's instructions and were able to find free street parking in the side street directly outside the town walls near the side gate. So we only had to carry our bags maybe 100 meters.Our room was Santa Isabel, which felt very spacious (much more so than a typical hotel room) with a spacious bathroom, walk in robe, two windows that we enjoyed sitting in to read and watch the quiet Obidos streets, and a huge comfortable King-size bed. You need to be able to climb a few stairs (about 12 total) for this particular room, and then just enjoy the large, exceptionally clean space.We were delighted to find that their restaurant was open all afternoon and evening, so we were able to enjoy a late lunch/early dinner upon our arrival. And the food was so good in quality and taste that we ate here each night, there are also several vegetarian options (also delicious!)The breakfast was probably the best for value (€10) and range that we've had at any hotel in our opinion, we've travelled a lot. There was a range of fresh and dried fruit, yoghurt, cereals, nuts, seeds, cheese, sliced meats, bacon, eggs, various breads, pastries, cake, crepes, jams, juices, tea, coffee.. yum!!The hotel and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. We would very much hope to return here one day.   The hotel was very quaint. We walked to up to it and thought that this is going to be very nice. We were put in the annex building The annex building across the street not as nice. The bathroom sink was absolutely pathetic. It was so small if you leaned over you hit your head on the wall in front of you. Plus, there were no outlets at all extra to plug in any device. You had to unplug a lamp to get any plug at all. It’s inside the wall, which is nice and it’s not very expensive. The breakfast was nice. The dinner was just OK. Fortunately for us, we are only there one night. Would I stay there again probably not. You don’t have to be in the city center to experience the town.
