Relax and enjoy the horses

Very pleasant hotel. Very nice property and well a great place to relax and explore the region. Great for kids, with nice pools and a fabulous SPA. The staff is very professional and helpful. The hotel is more good than bad - the location, horses and spa/swimming pool are exceptional, but there are still things to be improved upon. Mainly, we found that the lack of room service to the part of the hotel we were staying in (solar dos Lusitanos) a real problem. You have to go and collect the food from the hotel, and with small children this is an inconvenience. We had an amazing stay! The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, the pool was perfect for relaxing, and the kid loved every minute — especially spending time with the horses. Interesting resort in a remote area of Portugal. Famous Horse breeding program and stables are a speciality. The hotel is located on the same site. Also have a falcon hunting and breeding program.
