It is 800 m to Wawel Castle, while Galeria Krakowska and its shops are just 1 km away, and it is 2 km to the river. The Wieliczka salt mine is 15 km from the hotel and the town of Auschwitz is some 80 km away. Katowice International Airport is just 12 km.

    I hat a great stay at this hotel this week. For the cost, this Hotel was great value for your money. Brilliant location, very clean and a great breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

    Hotel is in a great location for exploring Krakow. Within walking distance of attractions, transport, restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms were clean and tidy and freshened every day. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good shower in the bathroom. The breakfast had enough choice for us and staff kept the food and drinks topped up throughout. The reception staff were helpful and friendly the luggage storage was great as we had a late flight home. Overall a comfortable stay.     We chose Hotel Alexander as part of our British Airways city break package.We stayed for 4 nights last week and found the location of the hotel to be perfect for its proximity to the Old town and Main Square (less that 10 mins walk).Our room was once of the more basic rooms but met most of our needs very well. The air conditioning unit was easy to use and very efficient. The bathroom was clean and generally good with an effective shower; however the basin was small and the only waste bin in the whole room was situated in here too - another in the main room would have been useful.The beds were basic but actually much more comfortable than they looked.The wardrobe was adequate and there was also a useful additional shelf/shoe rack and pegs to the side of this.A security safe would have been very helpful.The fridge did not work at all!There was a water dispenser in the corridor which was very useful.Cleaning of the room throughout our stay was excellent with fresh towels etc every other day.The breakfast offered a good selection of both continental and cooked foods plus fresh fruits, yoghurts, juices, cakes and hot drinks.The restaurant was open from 7am which was great as we had an early excursion booked on one of the days.The reception was manned 24 hours and the staff were very helpful.I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Krakow and I would stay here again myself if I am ever lucky enough to visit this wonderful city again.     Perfect base for a trip to Krakow

    Stayed here for four nights last week and it was a perfect base for visiting this beautiful city. The only two things I would say were the pillows were not comfy at all-they were far too soft and even with extras, didn’t make them any better. Also, the only bin in the room was in the bathroom, so we had to use a carrier bag in the main room for rubbish. There was plenty of places to put an extra bin which would have been handy to have. Hotel was in a perfect location for a 10-15 mins walk to the old town, through the park which was just round the corner. Rooms cleaned every day which is nice and water dispensers in the corridor for you to fill up your bottles, which is a great plus. All staff friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.     The hotel was lovely . The staff were really nice and friendly. The rooms were nice and spacious with a really comfortable bed. The shower and bathroom facilities were good. The rooms were clean. cleaned and tidied everyday with new bedding and towels. The only down side to the hotel was the breakfast. There wasn’t too many options however there was nice fresh fruit everyday.Would recommend this hotel as the location is great only being a few minutes walk from the main krakow stretch surrounded by restaurants and shops.
